I did a refi and Michael was very helpful and walked me through the process. It was 100% straightforward and no games or surprises. He was 100% accessible when needed. This was the biggest difference that helped my family. He was very up front and saved me a lot of headache and was able to get me a 15 year fixed for 2.62. I dealt with Michael at Southern California Mortgage and had a great experience. He was very responsive and easy to contact. I've heard horror stories of other companies where the brokers are impossible to get a hold of, but Michael responded quickly to every question I had--and I had many. I found it easier to correspond by email, and he always got back to me quickly (even on weekends); but he was also reachable by phone when needed. Additionally, the paperwork process was straightforward and clear, and doing it online expedited things so much faster than my last re-fi ten years ago. The process went smoothly and quickly; I would definitely recommend Southern California Mortgage to others, as well as do business again with them myself.

I have never written a review before, but after what Mike did, I have to. We built a home in the desert and wanted to refi after the home was complete. We talked with our historic mortgage broker and, while he offered a decent rate, his fees were going to be ~$4000. I decided to do some research and ran across Mike via Zillow. I gave him a call and he gave us our options and clearly defined the rates and the fees (and he had lower rates and no fees). But, after we started the process, we found that the title to our property was very "challenged". In addition, very few people have built custom homes where we live so there were no comps. Mike was able to get the title sorted out and the appraisal to an acceptable state through a great deal of hard work (which he said he enjoyed!). We also got a fantastic rate and no fees (just as Mike promised). Can't recommend him more highly.

I never write reviews but this one I had to. Like many others, I knew about socamortgage by looking up my property on zillow. With so many scam artists going around, I hesitated about contacting someone you hear about for the first time, and the many psotive reviews just seemed fabricated.

Boy, was I wrong !

Mike is the most freindly, honest and knowledgable person I have dealt with.

Everything works out just like he tells it, or better.

I was shopping around with many different lenders and he made all the others look like scamers trying to make a buck.

My goal was to reduce my monthly payment by $300, by getting my APR of 4.5% down to 3.5% APR, no cost, no fees. Mike got me this and a refund.!!!!

The process was so simple and clear, and we closed 21 days after I first contacted Mike. Just incredible.

Mike, you are the man and I will definitely be recommending you to everyone I know.

I got my loan refinance with cash out through Michael Correll. Michael Correll deals with me honestly and with great feedback and info. I got my interest rate lock on 3/25/2013 and funded today 4/11/2013 - Low interest rate, negative point, and within short time. I stumbled upon Socamortgage while checking our estimate home value on Zillow as we were getting ready to refinance our primary home. Based on excellent reviews from previous clients and the lowest interest rates i found out there, I gave Socamortgage a call.
